Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Android Developer with 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience to join our innovative mobile development team. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving Android applications, ensuring seamless user experiences. The role involves working with the latest Android technologies, integrating DevOps practices, and implementing unit testing to ensure code quality.
Responsibilities:
- Mobile App Development:
- Develop high-quality Android applications using Kotlin and Java for Android SDK.
- Leverage modern Android frameworks like Jetpack and Compose for building UI and functionality.
- Ensure performance, security, and scalability of Android applications.
- DevOps Integration:
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Bitrise for automated build, testing, and deployment processes.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate app development workflows with cloud services and ensure smooth deployment.
- Unit Testing & Quality Assurance:
- Write and maintain comprehensive unit tests using frameworks such as JUnit, Espresso, and Mockito.
- Ensure automated tests are integrated into the CI/CD pipeline for continuous validation of the codebase.
- Conduct regular code reviews and maintain high-quality code standards.
- Collaboration & Mentorship:
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers and backend engineers to define and deliver features.
- Participate in knowledge sharing and mentorship of junior developers.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Create and maintain technical documentation related to application features, architecture, and development processes.
- Report progress, roadblocks, and solutions during sprint cycles.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience developing Android applications.
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in Kotlin, with a good understanding of Java.
- Android Development Tools: Familiarity with Android Studio, Gradle, and other Android development tools.
- Frameworks & Libraries: Experience with Jetpack, Room, Retrofit, Dagger, and Coroutines.
- Unit Testing: Strong knowledge of JUnit, Espresso, and Mockito for writing unit tests.
- DevOps: Hands-on experience in integrating CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
- Version Control: Experience with Git, GitHub, or Bitbucket for source code management.
- Mobile Performance: Knowledge of optimizing apps for performance, battery life, and data usage.
Preferred Skills:
- Exposure to cloud services like Firebase, AWS, or Azure for backend integration.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
- Experience working with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
- Knowledge of mobile security best practices.
- Understanding of mobile app architecture patterns like MVVM and MVP
